Allie’s
Friends Foundation, a 501(c)(3) Public Charity, strives to provide new,
comforting stuffed animals to emergency medical assistance teams throughout
the United States to children in medical emergencies.
It is our hope that
some day every child in the United States that encounters an emergency
situation will be greeted with the comfort and love of one of Allie’s
friends---a new stuffed animal.
Providing
Stuffed Animals to Children in Need
Allie’s
Friends Foundation provides stuffed
animals to children in need of EMT services.
Allie Dowd loved all creatures great and small.
She wanted to be a zookeeper when she grew up.
It was very important
to Allie that living things not be destroyed. The Allie’s Friends
Foundation began in May 2004 when Allie died in a tragic accident while
riding her beloved horse, Maxine.
Established
by Allie’s Mom, Diane Dowd, the
foundation keeps Allie’s memory alive by
providing stuffed animals to emergency rooms
and ambulance squads across the country in
order to comfort children in need.
